Outwork

BIO

Pietro Bertini aka DJ OUTWORK started his career at the end of the ‘80’s, gradually making a name for himself in Italy by touring the Italian club scene from north to south.
In 1994 he was contacted by Pioneer for all their key promotional events and demonstrations for their DJ Equipment.

By then he was already active on starting producing some of his own stuff and developing his unique Elektro sound, heavily influenced by his italo disco background.
This led him to start receiving requests for remixes both under his own name and various other nicknames, he worked on "Summer Jam" by Underdog Project, "Soul Sisters Soul Brothers" by Duke and more recently remixes for Rivera Project "Some Kind of Heaven" and DB Boulevard.
As his DJ career evolved, he started playing his first international venues and within no time he was playing some of Europe’s most renowned clubs such as Queen in Paris, Pacha in Ibiza, Oxa in Zurich, Amnesia in Morocco, Fabric in Madrid and Peppermint in Dubai, among others. Finally he hit all of the major club charts with his own project "Elektro" by Outwork feat. Mr Gee. The track was originally released in 4 different versions and later enriched by a phenomenal remix package including versions by Robbie Rivera, Joey Negro, Scott Wozniak, etc.
Within no time it was featured on the playlists of major dj’s such as Bob Sinclair, Roger Sanchez, Eric Morillo etc and consequently the single got released all around the world.
In May 2007, “Out of Time”, the long awaited new single by Outwork, was released. This new work was the result of what Pietro gathered from the dance floor during his world club tour.
The single initially released as an instrumental version was followed later in September by a vocal version.
At the end of September 2007, Pietro got involved in a new project – Alp vs Outwork. ALP is the artistic name of a Colombian horn player who Pietro met whilst playing in Bogota. The result of this joint venture between Alp, Outwork and vocals by Glen White was "Fiesta Elektronika" a quirky ethnic electro track, which immediately touched the spot for many DJ’s, creating a great buzz.
The follow up was "Thank God For Music". Though this single didn’t achieve as much as "Elektro" kept the Outwork brand going and helped in continuously increasing the number of club dates for Pietro.
The new chapter takes off with a new project: OUTWORK feat. JAY ROLANDI "Up & Down (the rendez vous song)" is his brand new single, which was released last summer with a special digital release, exclusively on Beatport.
Three different releases: the first with the original and the club version, the second one with 3 remixes (Chriss Ortega, Outwork DJ Set and Outwork Reloaded), and the full package "The Complete Job" which contained 9 tracks (all the remixes, the edit version and the acappella)!
"Up and down" is released in no less than 10 countries, refurbishing his peculiarity both as dj and producer and lead the way through to 2009, which starts with multiple activities for Pietro: more and more club dates, a new Outwork single "Emotion", a new ALP single "Movida" and the re-styling of his classic hit "Elektro"...
